Going aloft to run the external halyard up the mast

Pulling the external halyard.


That's the block it goes through. This is very convenient if any of the other halyards fail as fed through one of the eyes forward it becomes a jib or spinnaker halyard and and led back, it becomes a spare main halyard.





All the way to the tippy top hauling the spare external halyard with me.
