Awesome website for SHTP prep from a Capri 25!

Exciting to see so many small boats entering the race. This is what I like about this race. It is about normal people. This is not about big sponsorships, etc... but about trying to figure out ways to make things work with small budgets, with friends, with support from all sorts of people. It is a dream that is much more accessible to a lot more people than big sponsorship races. Of course, there is a place for everything and having supermen doing other tough races is inspiring in other ways.

It is a race that many people can do, even if it means months or years of preparation. It is a race that people like me even have a chance of winning.

The race committee and the entire SSS is really really helpful and their mission is definitely to do whatever they can to help you make the start, make the race and have a great time out there.

All the people engaged in the event really enjoy sailing and the ocean as much as I do.They like sailing whether it is on a Swan 48, an IMOCA 70 or a Moore 24.
