Remember that I talked about Optimists? Well, here they are! The junior program is practicing some mark rounding!
Nathan working on the electrical panel - that's what I did most of today!
Sanding some teak so we can resin in to the hull and screw the SSB tuner in place.
Check out the new logo!
Nathan calibrating the autopilot. Initially, the pilot thought that starboard was port and vice versa so whenever it needed to correct, the boat would turn in the opposite direction...Needless to say that the autopilot must have thought that Elise wasn't a very responsive boat...
"Nick" is driving!
This is our "spare" autopilot. I fitted the brass holder into the hull
And that's how it connects to the tiller! I resined in the pin on the tiller.
Time to look at the user's manual..
Nathan fixing the bilge pump -
Fitting the new cleats for short-handed sailing
'Elise' is flying! This is the last picture with the old name.
ahem, that's another piece of work that's accumulating...the ironing pile..
"Nick" drove us all the way back from Alcatraz!! Feels pretty weird!

did you buy the autopilot from the southern hemisphere? I hear that port and starboard are backwards down there.
