Matthew Modine and Jennifer Grey are experienced sailors determined to win the prestigious America's Cup yacht race. But their abiding love for each other is put to the test when she's removed from the crew and joins up with a maverick boat designer (Stellan Skarsgard) who has a new schematic that represents the cutting edge of sailing competition.
