Going down the shopping list...Recently, we got:
- hand rail for down below. We'll see if we need anymore of those. The idea is that we should always be able to grab something to keep us from falling...
- personal EPIRB (and Nathan will get one too if he wants)
- water maker (desalinate sea water, always handy if your water supplies run out on a life raft)
- complemented my "synthetic" or fleecy base layer (such a nice techie word for 'underwear'): I have light tops and bottom with long or short sleeve but always full leg cover (if I don't need this, I probably don't need the bottom base layer :)), useful to protect me from the sun. Medium ones for cool days and heavy fleecy ones for cold nights.
- head light (the camping style) but with a red light option (was actually a freebie from work)
Still need to get a few things: lee-cloths, mesh pockets to store things, a new and longer foreguy as it will be attached from the deck, more sails, bigger solar panels, etc...
