We decided not to do anything about the engine - we were looking for an engine that has a fuel pump and a fuel connector. All of these engines weigh half my weight and it would be quite hard for me to mount it safely (if I can manage at all!)
We will set up a way to solidly anchor a gas tank at the stern and have a piece of rubber hose go down to the engine, which should ensure a continuous flow of gas when we want to refill (which we have to do every 45 minutes or so)
So that's one item we can cross off our list
