Challenges about sailing in Singapore 2004

Avoiding the big ships. They are everywhere. 700 of them will end up in Singapore harbor every day. Avoiding the refineries on artificial islands is also recommended.
Resisting a dip in the water...
Protecting yourself from the sun...

Making sure you can avoid all the local hazards: loads and loads of reefs, shoals, sand banks are poorly marked (they are outside the main ship channels so who cares...) and you cannot get anywhere near certain military grounds. Other than that, you're cool...
