SHTP Update 3 July 2014

(transcribed by Nathan from a phone call)

The solar panels still aren't topping the batteries off so Nat continues
to do a lot of hand steering and isn't getting much sleep.

The weather is now quite warm- she said that she actually prefers the
night because of the temperature.

It's been up and down with the kites; today she had one and then another
wrapped around the headstay. There was no damage, but presently she's
running with the twin headsails.

*** The following from me checking Yellowbrick, not from her ***

As of 11 AM Pacific time today, she was about 1480 miles from the finish
line. The other Express 27 and the Mini 6.5 are ahead of her boat for
boat. Let's hope she gets the charging working so she can push hard.
