She also had her rig checked and a few things repaired so she should be in good shape for the race. Clearly things can fail but they will not break because of lack of care and maintenance. At least THAT I can control.

Well, it is not owned by a professional mariner but given the amount of care that Serge gives to the boat, I am not surprised that it looks as if it was the case...Elise is one lucky boat.
