Starting sequence - Spring Keel

Boats typically reach back and forth along the line, sight the line, decide where on the line they would like to start

Sail controls are adjusted for the conditions at the start, crew members check lines one more time.

Countdown timers are synchronized with the countdown sequence and one dedicated person keeps calling out time to start

Bow person checks for traffic below the headsail and indicates distance to the start line when the boats get closer

The last tack and then up to the line

Accelerating to the line, finding a spot and accelerating

and then we start!!
