The start was in very heavy flood and in very light air - it took us 7 min or so to just cross the line!!! We immediately went for current relief short tacking along the North shore and getting close to the North tower. We stayed on the North side of the channel as long as we could and crossed over on the layline. We didn't want to lose too much distance West.
