The Baja has only two stops on the way to Cabo so it really is more of a passage than anything else. The boats usually spend a couple of days at each stop and one of them will be a party day, a beach party day.
The first stop at Turtle Bay gave me mixed feelings. The village is a little fishing village - the inhabitants told us that the Baja is the only thing that happens there in the entire year. There is nothing else to do but fish, eat and drink. The GDP of the entire place might be equal to the cost of one of the boats anchored.

The place is idyllic and it looks from afar as if there is a big town when most of the lights are anchor lights from the fleet

Most boats had a small dinghy to get to shore. Wet ride most of the time...

Daniel walking back with the groceries. The life of a cruiser is to carry groceries around on foot and on a small dinghy.

At anchor
A lot of boats went to anchor closer to where the party was at.
The view from the boat
We would go into cafes or restaurants to get some Internet connection and find out what's happening in the rest of the world.
Only one street was paved, the rest was dirt which made the entire place very very dusty
Relaxing at the party
What's in the jug is a great cocktail, invented by Megan and called 'Filthy Bilge Water'
