Bahia Santa Maria

Bahia Santa Maria is an almost deserted bay with a bunch of fishermen's shelters right on the back of the large Bahia Magdalena. The Mexicans we saw at the party all came from the larger bay - and would typically spend 20 days fishing at sea and 20 days selling on land.

The big event is a beach party - but it wasn't what I liked there

Beautiful night at anchor.

I didn't like the party - it was full of people I liked but it felt like it was spoiling the natural beauty and silence of the place. And I could go to these parties on any day in the Bay Area. They had nothing to do with Mexico.

Reading spree

I read four books on that vacation.

The Bay was stunning of course

Smiles on friends' faces. Happiness.

Sleeping on deck allowed me to see the sunset even though I then went back to sleep

The ladies took a launch and came home dry. The men decided to tough it out.
