Delta Ditch Run 2011 - end of the race

well for us anyway :) About half way up, and as we were in a tacking duel with Dianne, we did not want to contemplate the entire night beating up in either too much wind or not enough and the group decided to turn around.

We were quite happy with the boat performance too!

Sooooooooooooooooo, after we turned downwind, things became much easier, even in 25+ knots of wind. The boat was flater, not so wet at all, we took the headsail down and we were zipping along nicely under roger-pilot (it's a special type of eco-friendly autopilot that works with meat instead of gas). It was time to open the wine and start the grill.

yummy - roger-pilots can occasionally run on unleaded (eg. meatless) gas

when you do not have a roger-pilot, it is helpful to get a tow
