Boat work day results

Results

Thanks Nathan and Serge for the support

  • Fixed deck level nav lights
  • Plugged in and tested AIS
  • Big solar panel installed (for inspection) and tested
  • Lifelines swapped (for offshore)
  • Replaced VHF connector for on board VHF (and AIS) as the old ones looked a little corroded)
  • Cleaned up wires for solar panel connections

What still needs to happen before Tuesday

  • Food and drinks shopping   (even though clearly, it won't be the food and drinks for July 6...)
  • medical kit and manual ready   (prescriptions called in, it's a matter of going shopping, manual is on its way)
  • fix way to secure companionway sliding hatch from inside/outside the boat   (a screw came loose)
  • Test tiller autopilot     (needs to fix 2nd electrical instrument panel)
  • Set up top of mast strobe kit         (that's a 2 min job, it doesn't have to be at the top of the mast)
  • Tape up sail number on storm sails     (we used duct tape in the past and removed the numbers in-0between races, we will get some real sailmaker numbers this time around)
  • Put back in place the bungee + wooden blocks to secure all the wooden panels in place
  • Swapped lines for the hatch boards (right now the lengths doesn't quite work out ok)
  • Put radar reflector up in the rig
  • Get everything clean up and set up for inspection
