It rained most of the day and the wind dies on us - we finished 6 min after the cutoff time. Our fate was mostly decided at the leeward mark of the race.
The Golden Gate Bridge is still beautiful - in all kinds of weather and even when only some of it is visible.
Jonathan on Sting Eye getting his engine stowed away or lifted up
Grey over grey over grey. . Grey S over Grey S over Grey S. Grey sea, grey sail and grey skies.
Bodacious + - Even + of boat
Brian's AP, the tiller vsion of Doomsday, drove most of the downwind in light air.
Gordie - being his great self as usual. He is on my sailing heroes (and man). And we are catching up to that other Express.
One of Serge's most beautiful shot of the day
Elise flying her colors high and proud
Nathan was racing on Heart of Gold
Passing us in the light stuff, waterlining us. Note that our spinnakers have matching colors!
And San Francisco emerging in the background. Every time I go out in the Bay, I find it so incredibly beautiful that I am so privileged to be just out on the water.
Nathan took a picture of Elise and her half crew (remember that Serge was not supposed to be there, except that occasionally his head and camera emerged from the cabin, I had to step on it to clear the deck) - her beautiful lines amaze me every time I see her.
