- An Alcatraz port rounding that may have been better on starboard because of some nice counter current on the other side of Alcatraz (and a more immediate set right after the mark)
- An overpowering main which could have benefitted from a little reef...
- a stretching (or so it seemed) jib halyard that kept coming down despite repeated efforts at putting it back up and that did so in spite of 3 wraps on the winch and being cleated off
- A flying spinnaker that became a swimming spinnaker in a historical takedown (my fault, I had only one wrap around the winch as the bottom of that cabin top winch was for the jib which had been hoisted by then) and that was not enough - foredeck crew called for the halyard but the sheet wasn't quite released enough so the sail was still fully powered and one wrap just didn't cut it. A bit of rope burn and the spinnaker ended up quite wet
