Nationals Day 1

Elise entered the Nationals just to practice - we were short handed all days and we had a new crew that we were training up - and a highly promising one too!

on Friday, it was Chris ( poor Chris with the flu who was so tired he had to spend most of the race down below), Vlad, Nathan and Nat.

We started with a 3 because we were short handed but had to switch back to the 1 as the wind died only to see 18+ at the gate and overpowered. Bad tactical call on the way back from Point Bonita made up opt for a leisurely sail back to the Club instead of fighting current all the way back.

There was improvement every day htough and fun 100% of the time. We finished 0% of the races on day 1, 66% of the races on day 2 and 100% of the races on day 3.

We ended up having pizza at Waypoint! - and wine :)

The winner of the race of the day!

on our way up

We saw dolphins!!

Yeah, we were a little behind

Interestingly a lot of the fleet overstood the mark

Overall it was a beautiful day
