List of ToDos on Elise

  • Fix (loosen lifelines) lifelines + add strings to keep the back cable down and protect driver's back
  • Make the net at the bow more dense - sails could go through easily during SH HMB race
  • Get a new bridle (it's on order)
  • Get a new small battery at West Marine (one got toast during Half Moon Bay, running the autopilot)
  • Fix connection of the small solar panel (looks like the positive got disconnected, maybe get a smaller butt connector0
  • Fix windmill
  • Connect stereo (Nat has holder and everything thats needed) and check with 4 sets of speakers + iPod
  • Remove redundant chart light (+ it doesn't seem to work anymore). the regular light works just fine
  • Fix compass light (need stronger lights)
  • fix Keel scratches and paint
  • Fix autopilot 'Ray' support on deck with wood
  • Add anti-chafe measures on halyards (spliced in)
  • check all autopilot connections (for both autopilots and make sure they are reliable)
  • Buy 1 Suunto compass cover
  • Install flood light for cruising
  • investigate and fix outhaul line or cleat and cable
  • Get new cooler
  • Investigate a way to generate power during the night to run autopilot
  • buy new plexiglas bottom door for Elise (to match the top one)
  • Add instrument repeater on the mast for boat speed (day only ok: Taktik)
  • investigate adding a windvane as backup to autopilot - anyway to have one that could be rigged underway? It's a lot of weight at the stern otherwise...
  • Add solar panel capacity for short-haul short-handed races so we can run the autopilot

A boat always need something to be done to it...it is a never ending list! Fortunately, Elise has Serge...
